Ruhunu Development Contractors & Engineers (Pvt) Ltd was awarded its initial projects at the dawn of the new millennium, providing services to the construction and engineering projects of rapid-paced developing Sri Lanka. RDCE soon became a challenging competitor to other construction and engineering companies of the island and beyond, accomplishing the highest rank in ICTAD registration within just 13 years of its inception
Successfully completing set tasks in the construction of roads & highways, bridges, irrigation, buildings and steel works, RDCE was recognized as one of the leading construction companies in Sri Lanka. RDCE further spread its reputation beyond the island by capturing foreign construction and engineering projects in the Maldives.
Diversifying its business to become a more eco-friendly company, RDCE ventured into the fields of farming and tea. Ruhunu Development’s Tea Processing Centers and Plantations, located amidst the beautiful landscapes of the low country and Sabaragamuwa Mountain Ranges, contribute largely to the supply of Ceylon Tea around the globe, providing a livelihood for over 2,000 individuals.
Ruhunu Development further ventured into the demanding industry of Real Estate and
Property Development in 2015. RDCE’s ‘Nature Lands’ has since developed its business in many areas of the island — a responsible company for the country’s rapid development,providing employment, supporting the rural population and boosting Sri Lanka’s economy
